We are the first private Daycare with Learning Center in the Karachi since 2007. Dr. Sofia's Daycare and Learning Center is committed to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children ages 40 Days up to 12 years. We have a lot of respect for educated working parents who trust us, we understand their problems and therefore our team is readily available to help with their concerns. Our focus is to provide a clean, secure and encouraging educational experience that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Programs
Daycare Program
The Daycare Program is designed by a professional team of Doctors, Pediatricians, Army Trained Nurses and Certified Early Childhood Educators. We ensure safety, cleanliness and proper development of the children physically, emotionally and academically for ages 40 days to 12 years from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, we offer preschool program in the morning and after-school learning support and recreational classes to our children
Learning Program
The Learning Program is designed by a group of certified Early Childhood Educators and qualified Montessori Educators. Our curriculum is a blend of Montessori Teachings, Emergent Programming and also focusing on the Multiple Intelligences Theory of Learning by Howard Gardner.
After-School Program
The After-School program is divided into two programs
After-School Learning Support for Kindergarten - Grade 6, in this we provide guidance to children with their home-works, school tests, subject improvement & entry tests.
And the After-School Recreational Classes for Ages 4 to 13 years, in this we offer a number of recreational classes like arts & craft, reading club, computer skills, physical education, Islamic education, basic life skills, field trips etc.
Educator's Training Program
We provide a variety of Certification Courses & Workshops for educators and care-givers who are in the field of Early Childhood Education. These courses and workshops vary from Basic Curriculum Teachings, Classroom Language, Education Management, Public Dealing, Classroom Management, Child Behaviour and Psychology and Basic First Aid (CPR) Courses.
These courses are conducted by professional in-house trainers and highly qualified guest trainers who have designed the courses themselves.
Dr. Sofia's Story
I remember back in 1990, I was not able to pursue my post-graduation after my M.B.B.S. because I had become a mother of my two beautiful children who were under two years old. If only there was a child care facility at that time I could truly rely on.
We never visioned this organization to grow so big. I still remember the first few weeks when it was just me and my daughter Sobia taking care of very few children in 2007 in a very small scale location. Being the first independent daycare our biggest set back was not having a proper instruction manual to guide us. The services and policies we gradually designed were based on our sincere feelings towards the working families who put faith in us that time. We were unaware of the response we would get from the people because back then the concept of a daycare center was not at all popular.
